Hedera leads in tokenization and market infrastructure
Hedera took home the "Tokenization and Market Infrastructure" award at the International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA) 2026 Awards, recognizing real-world impact in bringing assets on-chain. The win reflects Hedera's core technical advantages for tokenization: high-speed processing, low predictable fees, and fast finality, backed by a growing ecosystem of live use cases.
Hedera leads RWA development activity
Santiment's latest developer-activity analysis ranked Hedera as the top blockchain project in real-world asset (RWA) development, ahead of Chainlink and Avalanche. The ranking was based on recent GitHub activity, reflecting Hedera's enterprise focus and partnerships such as its work with McLaren Racing.
Five major Spanish banks, ABANCA, Cecabank, Ibercaja, Kutxabank, and Unicaja, used Asseto, powered by HashSphere, to complete Spain's first multi-bank tokenized deposit proof of concept. The trial validated instant interbank settlement using programmable money, while preserving existing regulatory frameworks.
Hedera in UK's Wholesale Digital Markets Champion report
Lloyds Banking Group, Aberdeen, and Archax executed the UK’s first foreign exchange (FX) trades using tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) as collateral on Hedera. This use case was recognized in the HM Treasury-backed Wholesale Digital Markets Champion report as a standout example of tokenization innovation.
